Fulfilling Our Mission
NVTC staff provide on-going, individualized treatment to enable each client
to reach his or her highest potential. Support staff on campus include:
physical therapists, therapeutic recreation specialists, occupational therapists,
psychologists, speech and language specialists, social workers, and vocational
specialists. Primary health care is provided by specialized physicians,
dentists, pharmacist, dieticians, nurses, and other health care professionals.
Community hospitals and consulting specialists supplement these services.
Except for those individuals who require on-going medical attention, all of our residents live in one-story buildings. Bedrooms for one or two adjoin a centralized activity room. Each residential unit contains a dining room. The developmental Day program offers the most appropriate educational and vocational experience for each individual based on his or her skills and interests. Supports are provided to teach appropriate work behaviors while completing valuable tasks. Some clients participate in the Computer Literacy Program.
