Home 7C
For the individuals who live on Home 7C, developing and refining socially appropriate behaviors are a primary focus. Many individuals exhibit inappropriate behaviors that require individualized behavioral supports. Close supervision is provided to ensure a safe environment. These individuals have insufficient safety skills to allow for independent travel on grounds. Most have basic daily living skills but require some verbal prompting or physical assistance to complete these tasks adequately. Major emphasis is therefore placed on further developing self-care, communication, and social skills.
Program Focus:
- Refinement and development of daily living skills
- Teaching appropriate leisure skills and interests
- Learning to communicate wants and needs effectively
- Encouraging appropriate peer interactions
- Learning socially acceptable behavior in a variety of settings
