NURSING SERVICES


The Nursing Service Department provides and coordinates nursing care for all individuals who live at the Center. Our nurses make a difference by contributing to the delivery of excellence in individual care in a residential health care setting. The Nursing Department is committed to utilizing the multidisciplinary approach in coordinating, monitoring and implementing nursing services for individuals within the scope of Developmental Disabilities Nursing. NVTC’s unique and special group of nursing services staff provides:

- Planning, organization, coordination, supervision and liaison responsibilities
to deliver an array of nursing services which include:
- Health Services Clinic that provides routine episodic and preventative health maintenance.
- Observation Care Unit that provides 24 hour monitoring of clients by registered nurses.
- Infection Control Practitioner who provides programs for individuals and employee health and prevention and control of disease.
- Direct support professional and nurse inservice training
that provides guided didactic clinical experience.
